The following is a listing of the medical spa treatments offered at Pure Spa and Salon. For more information on medical services, please see The New You's website. Laser Hair Removal
Hair grows in three distinct cycles. First, the active or growth cycle (Anagen); next, the dormant cycle (Catagen) and, finally, the fall-out or shedding cycle (Telogen). Laser Hair Removal is most effective during the growth cycle (Anagen).
The pigment in the hair follicle absorbs the laser light and converts the light to heat. The heat, in turn, damages the follicle and destroys its ability to re-grow. It is important to treat each follicle during the growth cycle for maximum hair reduction. Can take 6-8 treatments more is possible. With touch ups.

Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a skin-freshening technique that helps repair facial skin that takes a beating from the sun and the effects of aging. The plastic surgeon uses a device like a fine sandblaster to spray tiny crystals across the face, mixing gentle abrasion with suction to remove the dead, outer layer of skin. As with other skin rejuvenation techniques, more than one treatment may be needed to reduce or remove fine wrinkles and unwanted pigmentation. Could take up to 8 treatments to see best results. Can be combined with several other treatments to get even better results.
Chemical peel
Chemical peel uses a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. It is helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. Phenol, trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and alphahydroxy acids (AHAs) are used for this purpose. The precise formula used may be adjusted to meet each patient's needs. Although chemical peel may be performed in conjunction with a facelift, it is not a substitute for such surgery, nor will it prevent or slow the aging process. It can take up to 6 treatments to see best results. Can be combined with other treatments to get best results.

Botox

RESTYLANE® is specially designed for different purposes and effects. For optimal results, a combination of our products is often used. For wrinkle treatments no pain relief is generally necessary, however it can easily be arranged at your request.

What does it do?
Restylane is a filler. It fills in certain areas to smooth out wrinkles and some scars. It also enhances the lips by providing volume.

Numbing injections are usually needed for comfort

What is the difference between Botox and Restylane??
Restylane is a Filler and adds volume to smooth our wrinkles, scars and to enhance the lips. Botox relaxes muscles to smooth out wrinkles.
