We are so excited to welcome Kristen to our Pure Spa and Salon family! Kristen went to Ogle School of Cosmetology to pursue her dreams in the hair industry and has since been doing hair for 10 years. She specializes in coloring (bayalage, highlights, lowlights, color melts, mermaid hair, glosses), women’s hair cuts, and wedding updos and styling! We asked her some questions so we could get to know her better!
What part of being a hairstylist is your favorite? Making people feel their best!
What about Pure Spa and Salon made you say “heck yes!”? When I walked into Pure, the first thing that felt like my new home was the atmosphere. Here, it’s professional, yet fun. The people who work here are so nice and made me feel welcomed!
What is your favorite current hair trend to execute? Definitely mermaid hair / color melts! Anything that is outside of the box!
What is your go-to beauty tip?Stop rinsing your conditioner out with HOT water! You’re just washing it out and it’s not able to fully nourish and hydrate the hair. Plus, when you rinse with cold water at the end of your shower, it closes the cuticle of your hair, which helps seal in the moisture from your conditioner which leaves your hair shiny and healthy!
Name one product you think every woman should have. I can’t name just one! But I’ll narrow it down to three: MoroccanOil Root Boot, MoroccanOil Smoothing Cream, and MoroccanOil Intense Hydrating Mask.
